DarkSky Olympic Peninsula Public Meeting

Winter has finally arrived with some snow at lower levels, but those clear nights in January and early February brought some lovely opportunities for stargazing. Thanks for being a supporter of dark skies! We are excited to share details for our first meeting of 2026.
DarkSky Olympic Peninsula Public Meeting
6-7:30 pm Tuesday March 3rd
Peninsula College, Room E330
1502 East Lauridsen Blvd, Port Angeles
There will be wayfinding sandwich board signs directing guests from the main parking lot to the Maier Hall, building E.
We will begin with an introduction of DarkSky Olympic Peninsula for people who are new to our work and continue with updates on our current activities and campaigns for action. These include “Lights Out Washington” with local and state Audubon Society groups, collaboration and policy action with partners in Kitsap County, and a campaign to comment on the latest satellite mega–constellations to the FCC.
We will break out for a round robin series of action tables on various how-to topics such as talking to community members about light pollution and doing your own home lighting assessment.
